The Douglas Fir grows naturally in a semi-conical shape making it the perfect Christmas tree at any size. The soft glossy green needles are short but numerous, with the Douglas Fir being known for really good retainage of needles. The branches grow horizontal making them fantastic for ornaments. These trees emit a gentle scent, not too dissimilar to citrus.
Douglas Fir’s are a tree that thrives in the cold, and as such are not a big fan of hot weather. They don’t like direct sun; placement in a non direct light filled area is preferred.
It is required to keep them watered – this is explained in the accompanying care brochure.
For the best result, small every day watering will ensure their colour and needle retention is as high as possible.
